Understand what we provide with our Policy service.

Below we detail the service but also some considerations for each and every policy document you have.

A Policy document MUST

have a Scope, Policy and Procedure as well as identify legislation that has been considered when writing the policy document.

Statement & Scope

Your policies must clearly identify who they apply to and who may be effected by the policy.  They should not only be made available on request to clients and business partners but as a business we would strongly recommend that staff declare they have received and read a policy.

Policy & Objective

Stating the obvious but the policy must be clear on its purpose.  Why have a policy if it is not relevant and the relevancy has to be clear as to why.  Is it the regulator, is it a legal requirement or is it a combination of requirements that are dictated by the companies ability to do business

Procedure

The procedure section of you policy will vary dependent on the nature of the policy but it is important to stipulate how the business will implement the policy and reference any forms or external paperwork which is associated with the delivery.  The procedure should clearly identify processes and people.

Legislation

Legislation governs why you have a policy. The policy details interpretation of legislation and what you are doing to ensure the company operates lawfully. The legislation considered clearly identified and also iterations, e.g. Data Protection superseded by General Data Protection Regulations.

Our Policy Writing Service

For any new business it is quite daunting with all the areas you have to consider, and that is before you actually succeed winning the first bit of business.  Whether it is employing staff or tendering you will often be asked to demonstrate or provide copies of your policies.  If these are not comprehensive but most importantly fit for purpose you will not be successful irrespective of how good your product or service may be.

The policy document must be well structured and have history of changes made therefore demonstrating that as a business you have reviewed ad ensured that the document is concurrent.
